Julian Gilewski

Julian Gilewski was born in Warsaw, Poland. He began his studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of symphonic and opera conducting of Prof. Monika Woliล„ska. In the 2024/25 artistic season, he is a โ€žConductor-in-residenceโ€ at the Lublin Philharmonic, as part of the National Institute of Music and Dance scholarship. He is currently continuing his master’s studies while being in his diploma year, at his alma mater.

In June 2024, during his diploma concert, he made his debut on the stage of the National Philharmonic conducting the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra. Since the 2023/24 season, he has been associated with the National Opera in Warsaw, where he has been working with Maestro Patrick Fournillier as assistant conductor.

In March 2023 he won the 1st Prize at the 4th Adam Kopyciล„ski National Competition for Students of Conducting in Wrocล‚aw, Poland.
